Lost Mountain Shelter, VA · 16 Miles Hiked Today · 471 of 2167 Miles Hiked Total

Left at 11:00 planning to go 9+ miles. At lunch I realized that meant a 19+ tomorrow with a big climb up Mt. Rogers. So, went 15+, meaning only 13+ tomorrow, plus I'll sleep at a shelter. Before, tomorrow night would have been camping out in the rain.

It rained all afternoon but luckily it held at 60 degrees, so hiked in shorts and t-shirt and was warm. I'm in the shelter with Retread, Good Vibe, Dan, Brian, Special Agent and more. Thank God all of the boy scouts are tenting it.
